I have been working in the FinTech industry for over 20 years and sold my last company, to Capita PLC in 2015. In 2016, I invested in a Dubai-based Insurance company. Following this, I saw the need for intuitive HR software designed to meet the specific requirements and working practices of the region. Emirates HR is a project I am truly passionate about, being able to solve and address problems within HR that improves efficiency, working relationships and takes away the burden of unnecessary admin is something that is desperately needed in the UAE.
Mark JP Nutter is a successful UK entrepreneur and investor within the FinTech sector. He sold his first ever business at 22 years old before joining one of the UK’s leading technology companies. In 1999, he left and founded his own tech business Isys Group Ltd, specializing in HR and Workforce Management which he later sold to Capita Plc in 2015. Following the sale of his company, Mark relocated to Dubai where after a short-break he began to invest and mentor companies both here in UAE and the UK. He made a significant investment in Arlo Insurance Broker Dubai in 2016 and was appointed Chairman. Mark’s passion for technology and HR has lead him to launching Emirates HR, a business he believes will change the way companies in the region operate and manage their most valuable assets – their staff.

From the moment Mark first pitched the concept of Emirates HR it was easy to see the huge potential for an HR management solution that is designed specifically for the UAE market. What was even easier was the decision to invest in the company when I learned about Mark’s background as a successful technology entrepreneur and also the team of co-founders that have also bought into his vision
After completing a bachelor’s degree in biomedicine, Sean moved to the UAE in 2013 where he worked as an investment analyst for a regional insurance brokerage before moving into an operations role for a global Trust provider. In 2018, Sean became the Chief Operating Officer of Emirates HR, with a vision to redefine the client servicing experience in the Middle East.

I worked with Mark for over 10 years at his previous HR software business in the UK. Mark offered me to come having seen what the team were working on earlier in the year I was keen to be involved and help establish the roadmap. I was extremely excited by not just the product itself, but the team he had assembled around him.
I moved over to Dubai at the beginning of September 2018 to become Sales Director at Emirates HR. Having spent 15 years in the HCM software industry, I have now been tasked with driving the business forward and confirming Emirates HR as the best HR solution for the UAE and wider GCC region. On a day-to day basis, I will be overseeing our sales and marketing activities as well as gaining valuable feedback on the product itself to help shape our roadmap moving forward and focus on our customer experience.
Peter’s experience ranges from advising governments across Africa, Asia and the Middle-east on leveraging technology to improve the lives of citizens, to creating new businesses for large service providers.
He created the IT Cloud outsourcing business for Huawei, established the Solutions Development business for Datacraft and established software development teams in China, Africa and the Middle-East. His main driver is solving the problems you have, and creating teams that can turn those solutions into products that will change your life.

Paul Donovan joined Arbuthnot Latham & Co. in May 2013 as a Director within the International Private Banking team. Paul is based in the Dubai office and is responsible for providing offshore banking services and wealth management solutions to Private Clients and Legal Entities.
A UK National, Paul has many years banking experience, in the UK and Middle East, and previously held the position of Vice President at Coutts & Co. Prior to joining Coutts, Paul was a senior Investment Adviser at HSBC in Dubai.
Paul holds various professional qualifications including the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
